Terms & Conditions – RISE by StartupSBA

1. Introduction

By accessing or using RISE by StartupSBA (the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be a student or graduate eligible for internship opportunities or a registered startup/employer on the Platform.

3. Information Collection & Sharing

By registering on the Platform, you consent to the collection and sharing of your personal and professional information (e.g., resume, profile, skills, and activity) with:

• startups registered on the Platform,

• your affiliated university, and

• the RISE team (StartupSBA and its administrators).

This data may be used for matching, selection, analytics, and outreach purposes.

4. Use of Platform

You agree not to misuse the Platform, including but not limited to:

• Posting false information,

• Harassing other users, or

• Circumventing the platform’s intended use.

5. No Guarantee of Placement

RISE by StartupSBA facilitates connections but does not guarantee internship placement or employment.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform (excluding user content) is the property of StartupSBA and may not be reproduced without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

StartupSBA and its partners (including affiliated universities) are not liable for:

• Any issues arising from internships,

• User interactions, or

• Third-party content on the Platform.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these T&Cs.

9. Changes

These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the Platform indicates acceptance of any changes.
